Commissioning Progress Calculator

Review weighted physical progress, accepted verification records and blocking items as three separate measures.

A fictional example is loaded to demonstrate the calculation. Replace its systems, boundaries, weights and measurements with your project's defined basis. Data stays in this browser session; export before leaving the page if you need a copy.

Review and measurement basis

Stage weights, total 100%

Systems / work packages

Package weights must total 100%. Physical completion is the completed proportion of that stage's defined work scope, not its accepted-document percentage. Enter zero for a measured zero; leave unknowns blank and the overall result remains incomplete.

Enter required and accepted record counts separately. Enter each blocking item once against its affected stage. A zero-weight stage still contributes its evidence gaps and blockers to the review.

The calculator rejects duplicate names and boundary identifiers, but cannot independently verify physical scope or record identity.

Progress summary

Review the defined measurement basis before calculating.

Calculation and authority boundary

Each contribution is package weight ÷ 100 × stage weight ÷ 100 × entered physical-completion percentage. Contributions are summed without automatically rescaling an invalid weight set. Stage scopes and package boundaries must not double-count the same work.

Accepted records are counted separately from physical progress. Acceptance of all entered records does not establish that the required record set is complete or that the system is ready. Neither a high percentage nor zero entered blockers authorises testing, energisation, start-up or handover.

Resolve activity-specific prerequisites and blockers through the responsible project process. Use the readiness review worksheet, readiness guide and systems completion guide for the decision and its evidence.
